Fiona is delighted to be back in her home town once again, having just completed a year’s run in London’s West End in another Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Sunset Boulevard, starring opposite Petula Clark and Graham Bickley.
She last appeared in Dublin as Sarah Brown in the Leicester Haymarket production of Guys and Dolls, directed by Paul Kerryson. Prior to this she created the role of June in the world premiere of Stairway to Heaven at the King’s Head. Based on the film A Matter of Life and Death, it was written by Vivian Ellis prize winners Morgan and Meacher.
She starred in the UK tour of Les Miserables playing the role of Cosette, culminating in a hugely successful run in Dublin’s Point Theatre. Other Dublin stage appearances include Carrie Pipperidge in Carousel (Tivoli Theatre), Brenda in A Child’s Christmas in Wales (Abbey Theatre), Sr. Mary Leo in Nunsense, and They’re Playing Our Song (Olympia Theatre), Gypsy, One of Our Own (Gaiety Theatre) and Heartbreak House (Gate Theatre).
Among the revues/concerts she has appeared in are Spread A Little Happiness, a celebration of the work of Vivian Ellis; A Tribute to Cameron Mackintosh, part of the Proms ’93 season here in Dublin and televised by RTE; and the Les Miserables 10th Anniversary Concert recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall.
On television she starred as Natasha Kovitsky in 25 episodes of Jupiter Moon for B Sky B. She has made numerous appearances on RTE including Sunday Night at the Gaiety, Mailbag, The Lyrics Board and Play the Game. Radio drama includes playing Edie Moore in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (RTE), and Susan Spillane in Like All Other Men (Scandinavian Co-Productions).
