Training: John is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University.
Theatre: Most recently worked with legendary director Harold Prince on the world premiere of 3hree at the Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia. He played Bertie Wooster in the US premiere of By Jeeves at Goodspeed-at-Chester, the Geffen Playhouse, and the Kennedy Center, where he received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for his performance. On Broadway he appeared in Sunset Boulevard where he had the opportunity to play the role of Joe Gillis opposite Betty Buckley. He has appeared off-Broadway in Olympus On My Mind, Dames at Sea, and Preppies. Last year he received critical acclaim for his performance in the title role of George M! at Goodspeed. He received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for his performance in On The Town at Washington’s Arena Stage. Other regional credits include performances at the Goodman Theater, The Cleveland Play House, St. Louis Repertory Theater, and many productions at the Paper Mill Playhouse. He appeared in the workshops of Busker Alley with Tommy Tune and I Sent A Letter To My Love by Melissa Manchester. He has toured nationally in Cats, 42nd Street, and Mame with the late Juliet Prowse. He is pleased to return to Pittsburgh where he appeared in Room Service and A History of the American Film at the Pittsburgh Public, Cabaret at CLO, and A Doctor In Spite Of Himself at the Carnegie-Mellon Theater Company.
