Training: He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
Theatre: John comes to By Jeeves directly from the Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard when he had the opportunity to play Joe Gillis opposite Betty Buckley. Earlier this year he appeared in Cole Porter’s You Never Know at the Paper Mill Playhouse. He received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for his performance in On the Town at the Arena Stage in Washington. He won critical acclaim in the world premiere of Riverview at the Goodman Theatre, directed by Robert Falls. Off-Broadway he has appeared in Olympus on My Mind, Dames at Sea, and Preppies. Other New York credits include New York City Opera’s Cinderella, City Center’s Out of this World, and the workshop of Busker Alley with Tommy Tune. Some of his regional credits include Stand-Up Tragedy (Cincinnati Playhouse), The Dining Room (Studio Arena), Hay Fever (St. Louis Rep.), They Shoot Horses Don’t They? (Denver Center), and Room Service (Pittsburgh Public). He toured nationally in Cats and 42nd Street.
