Linda Balgord is a ‘new’ New Yorker, having just recently moved there from Chicago.
In Chicago she appeared as Fanny Brice in Funny Ciri, Eva Peron in Evita, and Aldonza in Man of La Mancha. For her portrayals of Fanny Brice and Aldonza she received two Joseph Jefferson Award Nominations for Leading Actress in a Musical in a single season.
Her other Chicago credits include the Goodman Theatre productions of Sunday In The Park With George and A Flea In Her Ear. In addition to her musical theatre successes, Linda is a highly accomplished classical actress, having appeared as Julia in Two Gentlemen Of Verona, Lady Percy in Henry IV, Part One, Cordelia in King Lear, Hedda in Hedda Gabler, Gwendolyn in The Importance Of Being Ernest, and Toinette in The Imaginary Invalid.
Linda holds both Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees in acting. She wishes to thank her parents, Richard and Loretta Balgord of New Lisbon, Wisconsin for their encouragement, generosity and love.
