Martin Levan began his career in the theatre in 1984 when he supervised the sound for the London production of Song and Dance.
Since then his company, Martin Levan Sound Design, has been responsible for designing the sound for many worldwide productions including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Starlight Express, Song and Dance, Requiem and The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber concert tour.
Other productions designed by Martin include Carrie, both in Stratford and on Broadway, and The Baker’s Wife in London.
Martin’s recordings include cast albums for many of the productions he has worked on, including the New York cast recording of Cats, which won a Grammy award. His most recent recordings include cast albums featuring the Hamburg and Toronto casts of The Phantom of the Opera.
Martin lives in Beaconsfield with his wife Karen and their three children, Remy, Toby and Kim.
