a little bit disapointed that Jon Owen Jones is not goin to be at the wales millennium centre in december. Seein as he is welsh & by far the best Phantom, i would have thought he would definately be doing this one. Also very disapointed that Miss Katy Treharne will not be at the WMC, as she is also welsh with such an amazing voice & together with Jon Owen Jones WHAT A DUO. Saw them both in London & at the Eisteddfod & i feel they compliment each other & are perfect together. Please have a think about this as i know a few people will be disapointed they won’t be there. thanks

I loved Starlight express when it first came out. I still have the record!! I was always disappointing in the tour show. This production needs a big theater to really be appreciated. The music is wonderful…I hope it returns to the USA

I saw the London production of LND early last year and came away (sadly) quite underwhelmed. A few months later I was in Melbourne Australia and saw the re-invented Aussie production and was absolutely blown away by the magic of it all. It is now playing at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre and I have re visited this production 4 times. It is mind blowingly stunning in every way. It’s so mesmerizing that I even have goose bumps writing this. It is so wonderful that the whole show has been DVD recorded for the world to see. So to all USA or Canadian lovers of musical theatre, I urge you to get along to the screenings this coming week. It is a knockout.

I stage musical theatre in and around north London and out to Hertfordshire, often with a friend from drama college Bill Deamer ( I think he is known to you ) I would be interested in WDTW but realise it is a limited release and in all probability many licenses will have already been issued. Are you able to advise where the show will be playing in Herts / Nth London in order for me to establish which venues and location you might consider ? Many thanks

I was at the performance when they recorded some of the DVD and the show is electrifying. I have seen both the London and melbourne Productions. I loved both. Melbourne flows better, witht he reqorking of some songs and the when they are sung.
The set is awesome, bright alluring, scary, just what I imagine Coney Island being like. This will be amazing on the big screen. do yourself a favour and go and see it

I saw it in london and it was fantastic, for those who love the phantom of the opera you WILL love it!!!! it is beautiful and different from phantom but you can hear the undertones of the music in it which makes it the much more awesome!!!

I love Cats, i am going to see them March 1st In Greensboro NC. I have seen Cays so many times, it only gets better. I am 47, and I wish I could be in the musical. The only dance experience I have is artistic roller skating many years ago. i have never seen Evita, but I wish these youths the best of luck.

Does anyone know anything about UK Cinema dates yet? I’ve read they are showing LND in US cinemas in Feb and March. I’d love to see it in the cinema as I did with Phantom.

I am so lucky Austria is one of the first countries to get Love Never Dies. I saw it twice in London and it was absolutely amazing. Then, after seeing a few videos from the australian production I am looking forward to seeing it on DVD because what I saw was even better than the London production.

That’s a shame. I saw Phantom Las Vegas in 2007 with my beautiful wife and i just loved the way the theater was designed like the Paris Opera House. I’m glad i got some nice souvenirs from the show to remember the excellent time i had. I too hope they release a dvd of this show.

I was shocked to find that LND had closed down. Saw the show twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. True it did not have the same WOW factor as Phantom (which I had already seen three times – the first with the “Genius” Michael Crawford who will never be surpassed)but it was an excellent equal to many of the shows in the West End. Is Andrew planning on bringing it back eventually? I hope so as I have written a cracking synopsis for a sequel to LND!! If you are interested Andrew I can send you a copy!!

Saw Love never Dies 4 times in London 1st time opening week and last time at the closing performanc and loved it more each time. I was very sad it was taken off it seems people didnt give it a chance!! I cant wait to see the DVD and really hope it will return to the Westend. PHANTON is Fantastic and nothing will ever replace it we all know!! but give Love Never Dies a chance it is a wonderful sequal and well worth seeing – the music is Fabulous and such an emotional ending

i went to the lyceum to see Jesus Christ Superstar and was bowled over with the show and cast…what made it for me was that it was set in the period and not with guns etc,making it very atmospheric to say the least…will the new show be set in this period or modern version

OMG!!! UK, You are sure in for a treat. I saw the London production early last year and sadly came away quite underwhelmed. Not long after this I was in Melbourne and saw the re-imagined Australian production and came away absolutely blown away by the brilliance of it all. It is the most stunning looking show I have ever seen in more than 50 years of theatre going. The cast is superb. and the re worked ending is just incredible. The last 10 minutes is absolutely edge of the seat theatrical magic. Can’t wait to see it again . Saving up for a 4th visit , before it ends in Sydney. The DVD will of course be a wonderful record for the future.

In 2010 I came over from the Netherlands three times to see the show; always brought friends and did the “double”. Te first night the Phantom, and the next night LND. It was always the original version. Was very happy to be able to see the last performance in London in 2011, only 3 seats away from Sir Webber. What an emotional night!
I hope the dvd will be based on the latest version of the show.

How do i do it??? go to amazon.com and spend $40 on a multi regional DVD player… best $40 ive ever spent! i dont think i could stand waiting this long for these dvds…. so get on it n get it when it first comes out!

I can not wait till we can get our own copies here in Australia. It’s one of the best shows I have ever seen, I love it even more than Phantom, and wow I loved Phantom. So that’s a big call.

Saw the Sydney version on Premier night and was blown away! Absolutely sumptuous, beautiful and so sad. A true Lloyd Webber musical for sure. The best yet. Can’t wait for the DVD. Am seeing the show again in Sydney in Feb and possibly March again. Beautiful music and the hip song, “The Beauty Underneath” must be the most amazing piece of music ever written. So fun!!!

I have just seen the Wizard of Oz and thought it a marvellous production. But it wasn’t long before I became a bit concerned about the deafening noise levels at times, the explosions, the pyrotechnics, and the other stage effects that the little dog Toto had to live through for these performances. It was obvious that he was being treated affectionately and fairly by not being required to jump through hoops etc. But I do know that animals can be very stressed by a lot of commotion and loud noise, explosions etc and this show had that in abundance.
He was off stage at times, but on for a lot of this. If he is not stressed now will he becomes so subjected to this for months, years even?

Was in Levi chior when I was 10 and 11. LOVED it!!!! Being in the west end is amazing!

A fantastic performance – wish i had been in London to see it.

I did see the sequel Love Never Dies when I was in melbourne in November that was also a fantastic show – i loved it and cant wait for the DVD to be released here in Australia

I am so excited for the DVD to come out to see what the Australian Production has to offer. I saw the London production. I feel the London Production was more Phantom, it was that styling like phantom of the opera, it was elegant and classic. The Australian production is dark, like looking into the world of the Phantom himself…but have positive and negative things but I think i prefer the London prodution but i have to see this DVD first But wouldn’t it be cool if the DVD had two options? Option 1. London Prodution Options 2. Australian Production? That DVD would be AWESOME! To see the comparisions and enjoy both!

Theres more than 2 good songs though
Saw it in London. Had me photo taken with Ramin and Sierra then saw the guy who played Squelch in Tesco Express after the show!!!

LOVED IT!! smiled the whole way through i really hope the London production could open up again I never got to see it i can only watch little clips on youtube an i love Sierra and Ramins voices (there my favourite!)

It’s interesting and heartening to hear this news about the Evita revival. Please could I ask a question: Will there be a new Broadway cast recording and will it be a double-disc recording? The 2006 London revival was a highlights album and there hasn’t been a complete recording since the LuPone recording or the 1996 film recording.

I just love it!! Have not had the pleasure of seeing this live, but I listen to the CD almost every day…and the days I do not listen to it….the songs still play in my head!
