Children and their accompanying parents queued around the block from the early hours of this morning for the opportunity to audition for the Von Trapp family members in the new production of The Sound of Music which will open later this year in the West End.

Auditions were held at the London Palladium on a “first come first served” basis and co-Producer Andrew Lloyd Webber vowed that every child who turned up would be seen. 350 children were auditioned today with another 350 scheduled for tomorrow.
