At a special meeting at Windsor Castle this afternoon, (Tuesday 8th May) Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gary Barlow officially presented Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a special anthem they have jointly composed in honour of her Diamond Jubilee. The song, entitled ‘Sing’, celebrates the Queen’s commitment to the Commonwealth.

Gary and Andrew hope that schools, colleges, amateur choirs and street-party goers will learn the song and be ready to sing it as part of the celebrations in June. Therefore, the sheet music for ‘Sing’ will be made available for free download on Friday 18 May via Click here to pre-register your details for your copy.

‘Sing’ will be performed at the star-studded concert being held outside Buckingham Palace on the 4th June at 7.30pm and will be televised on BBC One.

    FAO Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.

I have grown up with your music and though knew it was special never really took to it. then I heard Jackie Evancho singing several of your works and immediately the greatness of what you are doing was revealed.

What Jackie did to your songs is to define exactly where they come from: she, as you no doubt realise is a rare -heavenly – talent. It took someone with her divine talent to express your songs correctly; and hearing her sing them is to have them come alive, like they never otherwise lived.

Good for you. I am so pleased in your lifetime a living angel came along and breathed life into your work as I now believe you truly intended for it.

I can now say you are great, its taken years but yes you are great. Please show gratitude to Jackie, her heart is so deserving of that.
