Duncan James and Keedie to release I Believe My Heart from The Woman in White
Duncan James

Duncan James from Blue and EMI Classics recording artist Keedie have joined forces to record the sensational “I Believe My Heart”, released as a single through EMI Records on 11th October 2004.

“I Believe My Heart” is the lead song from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical The Woman In White, starring Michael Crawford and Maria Friedman. The song, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and David Zippel, is a huge departure in style for Duncan from his previous Blue hit singles. “I Believe My Heart” is a stirring, emotive ballad with a beautiful melody and soaring strings that showcases a dramatic change of vocal technique from Duncan.

The Woman In White opens at the Palace Theatre, London on 15th September, with previews from 28th August. Freely adapted from Wilkie Collins’s sensational Victorian novel, The Woman In White is the West End’s most eagerly awaited new musical.

Duncan says, “I’ve always been a fan of musical theatre since I was a child and to have the opportunity to work with Andrew Lloyd Webber is a dream come true. I’d love to appear in a West End musical one day.”

As a member of Blue, Duncan has had 10 UK Top 10 hit singles and three 1# albums. He is currently busy preparing for the release of new Blue material this winter. A single “Curtain Falls” is released in November, which will be quickly followed by a “Best Of Blue” album. Keedie recently signed to the EMI Classics label and her debut album will be released this November.
