An emotional last night for Evita at the Adelphi...
Closing curtain call at Evita

It was a packed house at the Adelphi with almost all of the creative and production team in attendance, and the atmosphere was electric.  There was so much energy coming from the cast and orchestra that “Buenos Aires” almost blew the roof off the theatre!

The rest of the show was an emotional rollercoaster for the cast and the audience as each scene and song was played for the final time. By the time we got to the curtain calls many of the cast, including Elena, were in tears.  The whole cast were presented with flowers at the curtain call.

Everyone celebrated after the show with a fantastic party in the theatre foyers with special Argentinian food and cocktails and dancing to an authentic Argentinian Tango Band – with many bemused onlookers walking along the Strand past the theatre wondering what on earth was going on!  It was a fantastic and emotional night.
