In December last year, the world-famous London Palladium celebrated its centenary – and now you have a chance to get a glimpse of 100 years of theatre history as the Palladium will opens its doors for a series of exclusive guided tours from May 2011, each lasting about one and a half hours.
The London Palladium opened on Boxing Day 1910 and since then has hosted Music Hall, Variety, Revue, Pantomime and spectacular musicals with equal success. Made famous worldwide through television’s Sunday Night at the London Palladium, it has also hosted more Royal Variety Performances than any other theatre.
With displays of memorabilia throughout the building celebrating its rich heritage and the major stars that have appeared on stage, the tour will also take in areas not usually open to the public as well as the new facilities and areas recently refurbished as part of the centenary celebrations. The route may vary according to the building’s daily activities and the walk will involve several long flights of stairs.
The London Palladium tours will take place at 11.30am on the second Friday of each month, beginning on Friday 13th May and with the last one this year on Friday 9th December 2011.
Each tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Tickets for the tour are £10. Total capacity per tour is 30 people. As there are lots of stairs, the tour is not recommended for the infirm and ladies are advised to wear flat shoes.

We took the tour on Friday it was both interesting and informative. The gentleman who took us round was exactly what you would want, clear speaker,at ease with his clients
and had a very good sense of humour.
An added bonus was the presence of five of the original Tiller girls to help shepherd the group around.
All in all excellent value for your money!
