The Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera celebrates 10,000 performances

On 11th February 2012, the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera played its 10,000th performance at The Majestic Theatre, celebrating this phantastic occasion with a special benefit in aid of The Actors Fund.

In the below video clip, original Creative Team member, choreographer Gillian Lynne, joins the Broadway cast to celebrate this incredible milestone. Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber also sent a video message passing on his congratulations, while producer Cameron Mackintosh joined London’s Phantom cast onstage at Her Majesty’s Theatre to wish the Broadway company a ‘Happy 10,000th performance,’ direct from London to New York.
