Today, Starlight Express Bochum welcomed some ‘New Kids’ to the specially-built Starlighthalle, as the German-language production opened the doors of its skate school to the show’s new potential cast members.
Now the hard work begins as, over the next three months, the ‘New Kids’ will not only learn how to roller-skate, but also how to dance in their skates as they learn the choreography of the show, – not to mention the usual vocal rehearsals! To get used to their new roles, they will each have to get used to staying in their roller-skates for around ten hours a day over the training period.
Once they can skate at 60 km per hour, as well as dance and sing with the rest of the 26-strong cast members, they too could be taking to the Starlight Express stage in Bochum…
