Young Jenny

MIRANDA de PENCIER grew up in Toronto and has studied and lived in Switzerland, Montreal, and most recently, in New York City. Her first major professional role was as Josie Pye in the critically acclaimed television films ANNE OF GREEN CABLES and ANNE OF GREEN CABLES - THE SEQUEL. Her other television credits include performances in CBC's HANGIN' IN, MY SECRET IDENTITY, and last season in STREET LEGAL, in which she played the regular role of Jennifer Winston. She has had roles in the motion pictures SEA OF LOVE and MURDER ONE, as well as the made-for-television series, STAR RUNNER, which was filmed in New Zealand. Miranda has enjoyed singing with live bands in such venues as Lee's Palace in Toronto and The Town Pump in Vancouver, in addition to making studio recordings and performing on network radio. Her theatre work includes leading roles in GODSPELL, WEST SIDE STORY, and the Canadian premieres of MEN SHOULD WEEP and THE POWER OF DARKNESS. Miranda was last seen performing live in the original Canadian production of LES MISERABLES at the Royal Alexandra Theatre where she was a swing for the company and understudied and played the leading role of Eponine.
