An organ scholar at Magdalene College, Cambridge, Christopher Nightingale was musical director for the Cambridge Footlights for three years before graduating in 1987 and joining the RSC.
Theatre : Additional arrangements and musical supervision for Closer To Heaven (Arts Theatre); musical director for Whistle Down the Wind (Aldwych Theatre), Oliver! (London Palladium); assistant musical director on Miss Saigon (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane); musical director for The Plantagenets, The Tempest, The Comedy of Errors, A Clockwork Orange, The Plain Dealer, Pericles, Much Ado About Nothing, Henry IV Part I, Singer, Some Americans Abroad, Playing With Trains, 'Tis Pity She's A Whore, The Changeling, Romeo & Juliet, Tamburlaine (RSC).
Workshop : Closer To Heaven, Bombay Dreams.
Concerts : Choral musical director for Andrew Lloyd Webber's 50th Birthday Celebration (Royal Albert Hall).
Film : Coaching, recording and latterly conducting the cast on the set of Alan Parker's Evita.
