Richard Bullimore
Production Manager
Theatre : After having trained at LAMDA, Richard Bullimore got his first job as part of the stage management team with a newly formed company called Stage Sixty that was working out of the Theatre Royal, Stratford East, followed by a period touring with a wide variety of shows. He was then offered the opportunity to join the National Theatre Company at the Old Vic, under the Artistic Directorship of Laurence Olivier, as part of the production office. There, he worked on upwards of 50 productions over a period of seven years. He then covered the move into the new building on the South Bank working as production manager for the Olivier Theatre. He then left the National to set up The Production Office offering production management and technical services to commercial producers.
During this time, he was fortunate to work on some of London’s leading musicals: Cats, Starlight Express, They’re Playing Our Song, Mutiny and many others. He again returned to the National Theatre but as Technical Director for a short period when Richard Eyre was made Artistic Director. Subsequently, he has returned to the West End working on shows such as Crazy For You, Jesus Christ Superstar, Whistle Down the Wind, Saturday Night Fever, The King and I, Fosse and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
