Peter Bishop

Training: Peter is a native Australian and trained at the Ensemble Theatre in Sydney and the National Theatre Ballet in Melbourne before joining the Australian Opera Company and the Sydney Dance Company.

Theatre in Australia includes La Traviata, Aida, Adriana Lecouvreur, Trial by Jury and The Merry Widow as well as leading roles in Oklahoma!, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Evita and Camelot. Theatre in Britain includes Alan in A Step in Time opposite Bonnie Langford, Jesus in Godspell and many West End productions including Frank in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Slavemaster and cover Raoul in the original cast of The Phantom of the Opera, Asher and cover Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (London Palladium), and also cover Bobby in Crazy for You (Prince Edward Theatre). More recently, Jesus Christ Superstar (Lyceum) and Saturday Night Fever (London Palladium).

Television includes Families (Carlton), several episodes of Cobblers (BBC), and The Sullivans and Bishop to Knight (Australian Television).

Other He also spent some time in Sweden where he recently played the narrator in a major production of A Christmas Carol in Stockholm.

Peter previously appeared as Munkustrap in Cats here at the New London and in the first national tour.
