Stephen Fisher-King

GROWLTIGER

Stephen Fisher-King is one of Australia’s most dynamic entertainers. With six prestigious Mo Awards to his name, Stephen has collected the Best Male Vocalist prize for four years running, and Peter Allen Variety Performer of the Year for two consecutive years, all of which recognise the excellence of his one-man show. Stephen received rave reviews for his performance alongside Anthony Warlow and Sarah Brightman in the Australasian tour of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. He also performed as Brad in The New Rocky Horror Show at Star City as well as the barber in Hello Dolly! And as Che Guevarra in Evita. Stephen also played Tony in West Side Story as well as Schaunard in La Boheme, Ottone in The Coronation of Poppea, Strephon in Iolanthe and Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas for the Canberra Opera. He was a soloist in Side By Side By Sondheim, The Twenties and All That Jazz and On Broadway – The Show. A popular television performer, Stephen has sung on Midday, was a regular on At Home and is featured in An Australian Christmas at Darling Harbour as well as having had a regular role on Richmond Hill. Stephen gained his Bachelor of Music degree at the Canberra School of Music and is proud to work under the guidance of vocal coach Don Graydon.
