Daniel Benzali

Peron

Daniel Benzali was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His work on Broadway has earned him a Drama Desk Award nomination from New York theatre critics. Leading Broadway roles have included Amshel in The Rothschilds, Shakespeare and Feste in Music Is, Clichy in King of Hearts and Bulldog Allen in Dance With Me. In London he has been a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the original Half Moon Theatre, Alie Street, where he played the Anarchist Prince Kropotkin in Ripper and Touchwood Senior in A Chaste Maid in Cheapside. He has played the title role in Ibsen's Peer Gynt and his major Shakespearian roles have included Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Angelo in Measure for Measure, Cloten in Cymbeline, Don Armado in Loves Labours Lost, the title role in Richard Ill and Shylock in The Merchant of Venice.
