Greg Castiglioni
Ensemble
Training: Greg was born and bred in Italy. He grew up speaking English and Italian at home while studying French and German at school. At 18 he moved to England to study law at the University of Westminster and graduated three years later. He was then awarded the Stage Scholarship and joined the Mountview Theatre School to study musical theatre. While at Mountview he co-wrote and composed Let Him Have Justice (TER), a musical based on the Derek Bentley case, later staged at the Covent Garden Festival.
Theatre includes: alternate Rusty in Starlight Express and he also covered Electra and Greaseball. He understudied The Bishop in Les Misérables (UK tour) and made his West End debut in the London production, understudying Bamatabois. He has also appeared in Anthony Van Laast’s production of Hair in Oslo
Concerts include: While in Germany he was the artistic director of Starlighters Expressed, a gala in aid of Unicef, and a Christmas gala to raise money for the Jose Carreras Leukemia Foundation. Greg also performed for President Gorbachev as a soloist and with Sister Sledge, singing ‘We Are Family’. He has taken part in numerous concerts in the UK and abroad, most recently at the Gulf Hotel in Bahrain.
