Michael Dixon
Musical Director
Michael Dixon began his musical career after graduating from Trinity College of Music.
He has been Musical Director of West End shows such as Look to the Rainbow, Andy Capp, Mr Cinders and the national tours of The Tommy Steele Show, Godspell and Hair.
He was first at the London Palladium in 1986 as Associate Musical Director for La Cage aux Folles.
His first association with The Really Useful Group began in 1989 as Musical Director on Aspects of Love and he was Musical Supervisor of the Royal Variety Performance's tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber.
He was involved in the cast album of Aspects of Love and conducted the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat cast album.
Michael has worked extensively in television on programmes such as Going Live, The South Bank Show and Wogan.
Most recently Michael was Musical Associate for the 1991 Royal Variety Performance, conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a recording for Expo '92 and conducted the Wren Orchestra in a recording of a new musical Flor de Nit for the Dagoll Dagom Theatre Company in Barcelona.
