Training: Sylvia Young Theatre School and vocal tuition from nine with classical vocalist Professor Bernard Marco.

Theatre includes: West End debut, creating the leading role of Priya, in A R Rahman’s Bombay Dreams (Apollo Victoria).

Film includes: East is East, starring in Bollywood Queen with
James McAvoy, and Bend It Like Beckham.

Television includes: Maya Dutta in the award-winning Bodies with Max Beasley and Keith Allen, Banglatown Banquet with film star Shabana Azmii, Green Wing, My Family, Doctors, The Bill, Casualty, Bedtime, Broken News, Sari and Trainers, The Fiancee, Jump Boy, England Expects, Decreed and, most recently, Britz directed by Peter Kosminsky.

Recordings include: chart success with ‘Shakalaka Baby’ from Bombay Dreams (Best Video, MTV Asia Music Awards) which gave Preeya the chance to perform at The Royal Variety Show (attended by Prince Charles) and the Bombay Dreams cast album.

Radio includes: Badal & His Bike, The Carnival, The Haunted and Hanuman’s Child.

Other work includes: Preeya has always has been passionate about music and started writing songs at an early age. She has been spending time on her debut album.
