A Sound of Music surprise for the Prime Minister…
David Cameron gets serenaded by Von Trapps in Birmingham!

Last week, a day out at Birmingham’s BBC studios turned into a particularly memorable one for one team of Von Trapps… as The Sound of Music UK Tour’s Purple Team (one of three teams of children who play the roles of the Von Trapps in the show on rotation) bumped into the Prime Minister himself, David Cameron!

Philippa Buxton, the show’s Alternate Maria, was at the BBC studios to be interviewed – on the same day that Sound of Music fan Mr Cameron was also in the building – and she and the Purple Team gave the Prime Minister a special performance of ‘The Sound of Music’.
