Elaine Paige

London born, Elaine Paige has made several West End appearances including such shows as Hair, Michele in Rock, Carmen, and Sandy Dumbrowski in Grease. This is the second time she has worked with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, the first being in Jesus Christ Superstar. She scored a personal success playing Rita opposite Michael Crawford in the original production of Billy at Drury Lane. She has worked at Stratford East with Joan Littlewood and at Chichester in 1976 when she appeared in Follow the Star, directed by Wendy Toye. Elaine has recently completed the BBC series One More Time, and is soon to be seen as Kim in The One and Only Phyllis Dixey for Thames Television.
