Tim Rice

Tim Rice has been around a long time and it is beginning to show. However, he would like to pay tribute to the outstanding composers he has worked with over the years in theatre, movie, and records. Without their genius he would probably now be CEO of EMI, which he joined as a management trainee in 1966. Working with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, Alan Menken and Elton John (among others) has almost compensated for the millions he would have received by now in share options and bonuses. He has won many entertainment awards, usually for the wrong things, and none for Jesus Christ Superstar. He has four shows running on Broadway at the moment; for further information see the programs for The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Aida.
