The Really Useful Group Theatres is one of the largest theatre groups in London with all our musical houses together containing almost 11,000 seats.
We solely own and manage 6 West End theatres, including, arguably, the most famous theatres in the world. We also co-own and manage the Adelphi Theatre on the Strand.
The London Palladium is the nation's favourite home of live entertainment and still fondly remembered for Sunday Night at the London Palladium which was first broadcast over fifty years ago. Now it is cementing its reputation as the favourite West End venue for spectacular family musicals with the UK debut of Sister Act. This famous venue also hosts a regular programme of Sunday evening concerts.
Of a similar size is the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane London's most stately theatre. For many years it was home to Miss Saigon and then My Fair Lady, which returned to the theatre at which it first opened in 1958. Having since housed the UK Premiers of The Producers and The Lord of the Rings Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s Oliver!. is proving as popular as ever with theatregoers.
Our other theatres include the Palace, a Victorian gem where Priscilla, Queen of the Desert resides, the New London, a modern building which opened in 1972, the Adelphi*, until recently the home of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Her Majesty's theatre which has been home to one of London’s favourite musicals since The Phantom of the Opera opened in 1986.
The art deco Cambridge theatre, has been host to musicals including Return to the Forbidden Planet, Fame, Grease, The Beautiful Game, Jerry Springer - The Opera and now the long running Chicago which in 2007 celebrated its tenth birthday in the West End.
