Social Media Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead the social media strategy for Andrew Lloyd Webber and related show channels. The role will be directly responsible for ALW channels, planning and implementing innovative and engaging content that supports brand growth and revenue generation. In addition, the role will also provide strategy and oversight for show channels.

SALARY:

£45,000 – £50,000 (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Sales & Marketing Director to create a social media strategy that meets ambitious engagement and growth targets.
  • Leading Andrew Lloyd Webber’s social media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
  • Keeping oversight of all show channels, posting to those currently owned by the Really Useful Group and working with licence holders who actively run channels in given territories. Proactively following up with ideas and suggestions wherever possible.
  • Working with our recorded music and music publishing partners to maximise engagement and consumption on digital music platforms (DSPS), as well as developing strategies to grow reach for music on other social media channels.
  • Working with external music strategists to drive audience development and reach via social media platforms. This will include working with the latest social media trends, devising new music edits and working with influencers.
  • Planning and implementing content schedules tailored to each channel, presenting plans for discussion and approval, as required.
  • Creating content for all channels, including capturing and editing stills photography and videos. Also includes working with RUG archive material to re-purpose existing assets for renewed use.
  • Working with global licence holders to advise on social strategy, share insights and collaborate wherever possible to maximise engagement and impact.
  • Forming key relationships with relevant social media organisations and influencers across the social media platforms.
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions.
  • Gathering insights and undertaking audience research to help inform strategies as well as offering advice to licence holders.
  • Writing and editing copy for social posts and website blogs.
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity.

Person Specification

  • Substantial marketing experience in an arts organisation, agency or proven transferable skills from a similar sector.
  • A creative approach to devising social media strategies, implementing campaigns and monitoring related sales or project KPIs.
  • Experienced in working with social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
  • Ability to capture and edit stills and video with ease, using in-app software and the Adobe Suite or similar.
  • A strategic thinker able to react quickly to short-term priorities while also delivering long-term planning and development.
  • A core networker, capable of working with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Good analytical skills, able to analyse data, including audience behaviour and evaluate marketing efficiency.
  • Creatively ambitious and driven to make great work.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to coordinate a variety of simultaneous projects to tight deadlines and within budget.
  • Excellent multi-tasker and swift problem solver.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, able to manage shifting priorities and cope with last-minute changes.
